The Clickers had a Linux SIG before. When I last appeared on the Clickers
radio program I spoke with one of the members. I was specifically told that
their Linux SIG had primarily folded because most of the members had joined
BRLUG and because of lack of participation. Rather than create another
Linux SIG at the Clickers why don't we just regularly invite them over the
LUG? If the presentations are over their collective heads then we can just
increase the time allotted to newbies. Hey, if you want to help create a
new SIG then go for it. My point is just that I don't think it is the best
solution to the newbie problem.

Now, if you are doing this strictly because the Clickers want a Linux SIG
then that is another situation. However, to date you have been stressing
that we aren't properly handling newbie issues, which is a LUG concern if
they are LUG newbies. That is what I am replying to.

Again, this has been done before at the Clickers. I am not saying this
attempt will fail, I'm just saying that with numbers comes strength.

My statements are not contradictory.

I think you are taking this conversation personally. I've said a few times
that if you want to do it then fine. I'm just putting in my two cents.
