Don't forget the audience. would a newbie need to look at the man pages
for grep? ;) I think that is where a lot of advanced users go astray. I
remember when I first started...No one would give me a striaght
answer. All I would get is "man tar" for an answer. Call me stupid but I
have walked at least 6 of my friends through Linux installs,
Bind/Apache/Sendmail/MySQL and other installs and never once did I say
RTFM. It's all about being personal and helping one person at a
time. Eventually they will help someone and the virus you created will
spread. That's been my experience and I know that one of my friends help
someone in Florida when just a year ago he didn't even know what Linux
was.
