Additionally, NFS locking (at least on Linux) is *supposed* to be
fixed now, if you're using nfs-utils >= 0.3.1 and provided you use the
posix locking functions (i.e. using fcntl).  This according to a buddy
of mine who worked on NFS on Linux for a while...
