Sorry - I don't use third party plug-ins, expecially Flash.  The use
of Flash will preclude developers who prefer Google's JavaScript API.

I believe server tools do exist to redimension GIF images with pixel
interpolation.  John Coryat may be aware of something.  He does a lot
of "on the fly" image composition.

Redimensioning at the server will improve animation performance.  The
pixel interpolation will be superior to what happens in the browser.
Clearly, you already have something to transform radar samplings to
GIF files.  Perhaps it can be modified to redimension according to
"width" & "height" specified by user.
