When purchasing something it is important to know what are the warranty
conditions. For example many places offer carry-in service, some are mail-in,
etc. Providing a loaner is not that common in my experience. The exception
might be a place that offers an over the counter replacement if I decide to
purchase the extended warranty option.

Even for computer systems if we don't pay for on-site service it is a carry-in
warranty. If GW Micro decides to offer a warranty plan that includes a loaner
or a no lemon clause then the cost of the unit will have to go up or for those
of us interested in that added bit of security we will have to pay for it.
