[Haifux] Advanced Routing: Routing for multiple uplinks/providers

Has anyone had any experience implementing the advice here:

I seem to be running into a brick wall of

RTNETLINK answers: File exists

and

RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument

Whenever I try doing what it says I should do.
