I have just confirmed (through experimentation) that some browsers render windows-1255 and iso-8859-8-i pages differently, even when the pages only contain characters from the intersection of the two character sets, and where the only difference between the pages is the "charset" specification. I wonder if this is a design feature or if it is related to any standards specifications.
