Well, as long as both emacs and xemacs are installed everywhere, it's sort of unforgettable. Especially as long as their configuration files are incompatible, so newbies have to choose a side when they copy someone's configuration (of course theoretically they can stay almost newtral by sticking to the default configuration, but few humans can survive the dysfunctional default settings of a highly extensible program).
