func_brush (or was it func_wall_toggle) has no parent key either but when I manualy edited the keyvalues of the entity and gave it a parent it worked. Ok probably doesn't work for everything, maybe the entity supported it but did someone forget to add it to the gcf file.
I used it to make a strider get stuck so I could have it move with a elevator :-) (otherwise it collapses for some reason) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mikie" <[email protected]> To: "Discussion of Half-Life Mapping" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, July 09, 2009 4:37 AM Subject: Re: [hlmappers] Parent and move a sky camera?? > There is no Parent key to test. > > I imagine if you add a Parent key manually, the engine would ignore it. > There is probably no code for this. > > I was asking Valve if this could be done in future. > > > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mike > Zimmermann > Sent: Wednesday, July 08, 2009 10:42 AM > To: Discussion of Half-Life Mapping > Subject: Re: [hlmappers] Parent and move a sky camera?? > > This would take like 10 seconds to test. > > -Mike > > > On Wed, Jul 8, 2009 at 9:13 AM, Mikie <[email protected]> wrote: > >> Can you parent and then move a sky camera in a sky box to simulate >> movement? >> >> Anyone from Valve that could answer? >> >> Thanks. >> >> _______________________________________________ >> To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, >> please visit: >> http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlmappers >> >> > _______________________________________________ > To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, > please visit: > http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlmappers > > > _______________________________________________ > To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, > please visit: > http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlmappers _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: http://list.valvesoftware.com/mailman/listinfo/hlmappers
