func_brush (or was it func_wall_toggle) has no parent key either but when I 
manualy edited the keyvalues of the entity
and gave it a parent it worked.  Ok probably doesn't work for everything, 
maybe the entity supported it but did someone forget to add it to the gcf 
file.

I used it to make a strider get stuck so I could have it move with a 
elevator :-)
(otherwise it collapses for some reason)
