What version of hplip are you using? Can you run hp-check and post the output?

I deleted the queue but hp-makeuri and hp-setup still don't work.

Here is the output of hp-makeuri <hostname> with logelevl set to debug:
hp-makeuri[22260]: debug: Trying IP address
hp-makeuri[22260]: debug: (xmit) Sending data on channel (3)
hp-makeuri[22260]: debug:
'msg=makeuri\nbus=net\nhostname=192.168.0.5\nport=1\n'
hp-makeuri[22260]: debug: (xmit) Reading data on channel (3)
hp-makeuri[22260]: debug: 'msg=MakeURIResult\nresult-code=12\n'
error: Device not found

Hope that helps

Have you tried deleting the printer queue and reinstalling it using
hp-setup?

Hi,

My HP officeJet 7310 doesn't work anymore. It was configured and
worked
perfectly for a moment. The device URI is
hp:/net/Officejet_7300_series?ip=192.168.0.5 and I'm using hplip
version
1.6.9. Recently, I wasn't able to
print anymore. The jobs are stuck anc cups web srever display this
message:
"open device failed; will retry in 30 seconds..."

Moreover hp-makeuri fails with:
error: Device not found

and hp-info gives:
Using device: hp:/net/Officejet_7300_series?ip=192.168.0.5

hp:/net/Officejet_7300_series?ip=192.168.0.5

error: Unable to communicate with device:
hp:/net/Officejet_7300_series?ip=192.168.0.5
error: Error opening device (Device not found). Exiting.

I can ping the printer, the port 9100 is open and net-snmp 5.3.1 is
installed. rc.hplip status returns:
hpiod (pid 12389) is running...
hpssd (pid 12393) is running...

and rc.cups.status:
cups: scheduler is running.

I have restarted multiple times hplip and cups without any result.
Restarting the printer didn't help neither. I don't know what to look
for anymore. Could you help me please.
