I have been attempting to gather information. This is what I've discovered so
far;

Although printing from kmail succeeded once, now all jobs are reported
as 'stopped'

Test page from localhost:631 succeeds

Test page from kprinter:
Photosmart_C7100 "/usr/lib/cups/filter/foomatic-rip failed"

Test page from hplip fails

Printerdrake says it uses GhostScript + hpijs (recommended) whereas hplip says
foomatic + hpijs

Manually set up printer on another box (working) shows Device:
socket://192.168.0.3.
Queue set up by hplip shows Device:
hp:net/Photosmart_C7100_series?ip=192.168.0.3

Reset printer in Gimp - pointing to printer queue C7100 (set up by hplip) -
succeeds

service hplip status
hpiod (pid 2279) is running...
hpssd is stopped #Is this correct?

I hope this gives some much-needed pointers :-)
