A friend of mine was playing his 505 drums through an overdriven dj mixer.
It made quite nice crunchy sounds. Im thinking I might give that a try
with my rm1x and my mackie.
on the subject of drums, I have a question about track types (not sure
what to call it).
When using a user style, and going through the preset phrases, it seems
that tracks 1-8 are set to be drum sounds, while tracks 9-16 are set to be
non drum sounds. i.e. when you scroll through the possible phrases on
tracks 1-8 you get selections from bd, sn/hc/, hh, etc... and 9-17 you get
selections from wind, piano, etc..etc..
I thought the only difference between the two was what voice you had the
track set to. If I go to the voice menu and chage it to a drum kit,
shouldnt I now access the drum phrases?
I tried doing this on track 9 last night, and no matter what I did, I
couldnt get track 9 to play a drum phrase
