thanks! I wish the manual covered stuff like this...one question, does it
still use polyphony like it does when you just turn the volume down?

I havent run into the program change problem yet, things in that regard
seem to work the way I like, but, for complex midi filtering you can pick
up a stand alone midi patch bay (I just purchaced the emagic amt8).  It
can basically filter whatever you want.  they also just came out with a
2x2 version of it for smaller uses.
