So?

There is no problem at all to link against a LGPL library.
In GNU/Linux *all* of XFree86 is linked with LGPL libraries.
THe libc and libm ones, namely.

What is the problem with also linking with the FriBidi library in the
same way ? If it can be done with a given LGPL library it sure can
be done with others.

The only thing that the LGPL imposes is that you be able to change/update
the LGPL library, which can be achieved by either providing a dynamically
linked binary, or object files to relink into a non dynamic binary.
But XFree86 does best: it gives the sources.

So, there is absolutely no problem at all to use as many LGPL code as
you want, as long as it is well separated and as long as XFree86 is
distributed in source code.
