False. The location of the ADATA file needs to be known to Fault
Analyzer, but (in our shop, anyway), no modifications to any production
jobstreams were required to transition from Dumpmaster to Fault Analyzer
(v9.1).

John,

Just curious. We had looked at dumpmaster a quite a few years ago. One of the
big issues we came up with was that there was a "common" dsn that every job in
the world used. That meant if the dataset was screwed up (pr missing or
whatever) production would stop. We could not really allow anything like that
to occur. You seem to indicate (at least the way I read it) that this hasn't
changed in the 10++ years.

I am just curious as to how many times this has gotten in the way of production?

Ed
