For me JCL isn't really so bad. Personally, IMHO, etc, etc, I really do like working with something that has been evolved and gotten better over the past 40 or so years. You can still easily see the history in all of it. I love the fact that they say you can run the first 360 program on today's biggest and baddest zSeries box.
The other end of the spectrum is Microsoft who tries to come out with something brand new every few years, and they don't care if nothing works anymore. They cannot make my DOS 1.1 programs run on XP or Vista and they don't care either. IBM made this promise to their customers and pretty much came through with their promise. They're not perfect, but I'm very impressed that they've done some much to protect their customers' investments like they've done so far. /Lindy -----Original Message----- From: IBM Mainframe Discussion List [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Daniel A.
