The square brackets that display correctly are x'AD' and x'BD'.
The square brackets from PComm are x'B0' and x'6A'.

Ummm.... The default United States keyboard mapping in PCOMM does not define square brackets ...

The left bracket key is defined as:
Base: ','
Shift: '{'
Ctrl: [ESC]
Alt: [pass]
AltGr: [dead]
CtrlShift: [pass]

The right bracket key is defined as:
Base: '&'
Shift: '}'
Ctrl: [GS]
Alt: [pass]
AltGr: [dead]
CtrlShift: [pass]

You must have defined them yourself -- to the wrong values!
