Yes, the costs will be smaller, since z/800 consumes less energy. <vbg>
More seriously: What costs? If you mean HVAC and power supply, please DO
NOT ASSUME that newer machine will consume less energy. It's simply not
true, especially for small and medium configurations.
In my case (move from z9 to z10, no change in channels and MIPS) power
consumption increased approx. 50% (yes!). Of course power consumption is
still irrelevant margin in the bill.
