According to http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/zseries/zos/support/zos_server_support.html, there is no z9 support in OS/390 2.10. You need to be on z/OS 1.4 (with updates) or later. [Found via a quick Google search of: os/390 z9 (first result)] Alan Altmark z/VM Development IBM Endicott
