Just to keep this in perspective and even though I am shopping for a treed saddle and have greatly appreciate help from all of you who have more experience with the little wide bodies, I do have a friend, not young, not feather weight who rides 75 mile endurance rides in a treeless saddle. She and her sweet little Arab mare also recently completed five 50's in five days in the treeless saddle. She is an example of a rider for whom it is working well. I think she sticks in my mine mostly because I don't know any other hard core endurance riders in our circle of friends who are that successful riding trreeless. Nancy
