I had subscribed to Directv and was having some "issues" with my DSL from BellSouth. I switched over to DirecWay and they installed it with that modem. I was terribly disappointed at how S L O W it was as compared to DSL....to the point where after 2 days I had them disconnect it and went over to cable. I found it to be only slightly faster than dialup. I definitely would not recommend it to anybody who CAN get cable or DSL. Even the price isn't that great as compared to cable or DSL. I live in Miami, so all of these things are available to me. If you live out in the middle of nowhere, DirecWay might be worth considering but not if you have access to cable or DSL.
