I had subscribed to Directv and was having some "issues" with my DSL from
BellSouth.  I switched over to DirecWay and they installed it with that
modem.  I was terribly disappointed at how S L O W it was as compared to
DSL....to the  point where after 2 days I had them disconnect it and went
over to cable.
I found it to be only slightly faster than dialup.  I definitely would not
recommend it to anybody who CAN get cable or DSL.  Even the price isn't that
great as compared to cable or DSL.  I live in Miami, so all of these things
are available to me.  If you live out in the middle of nowhere, DirecWay
might be worth considering but not if you have access to cable or DSL.
