Ya, I also have a 400MHz G3 Graphite SE,

Yup, same one I have, and I have it decked to 1 GB of RAM and a 7200 RPM 60 GB drive. Although mine is now just the logic board and DVD drive from that machine. The CRT/Power supply is from a 350 MHz slot load iMac (and the CRT is dead, so I'm viewing it with an external 17" LCD). Keyboard is still original, but mouse is not (I've had way too many puck mice die on
me, what's up with them!?!)

The all button mouse is pretty, that's why it exists. I had 2 die on me. I suspect poor cabling.

Hey, this is a good time to ask a question about iMac external monitors. The worst thing about the iMac isn't the slow speed, but poor text reading and resolution. My wife needs 120 character lines for her work without scrolling and it's hideous. I would love to put an external monitor on my 600 MHz graphite.

Apparently the later ones, I "think" this one included (I looked behind the panel) don't have a VGA plug (why not!?). Is this easy to spot, or might I have missed it? If it doesn't have the plug, is there any way to hook up an external monitor? I'd be up for a little soldering, if required. Ideas?

Thanks!

Overall, I'm very happy with OS X on that machine, and I wouldn't go back
to OS 9... there are just the select functions that perform poorly. I'm
hoping to free enough room to try upgrading to Tiger this week and see
how it performs.
