OK, so I see in Digest #2249 that this thread is still running, so I'll
chime in before reading three days worth of it.
I am using Mail in Panther at the moment. I used AppleWorks 5 in
Classic this morning because I have never bothered to load AppleWorks
6.whatever. My wife uses Classic for AppleWorks, Reunion 5, American
Heritage Dictionary, and Photoshop Elements 2. Yes, I have loaded
Photoshop Elements 3 for her in OS X, and yes she intends to begin
using it. We have the latest Reunion as a Christmas present, but I
haven't bothered to load it yet.
Panther is fine with Mail and Safari for browsing. But doing things in
Classic is slick, never a problem. I have Classic set to start up by
default and run all the time. I even have a few old kid's games
running in Classic for the grandchildren in their special, limited OS X
account. Very nice that they cannot mess with all our other files.
