I'm running Tiger and even though I remove things from the Dock they're still there again the next day. How can I get the Dock to only display the things I WANT it to display? (for example, until I get more familiar with OSX, I don't use things like calendar, widgets, etc).
Also, is there a way to remove the blue magnifying glass icon at the top right of the menu bar, and how can I easily see which applications are running? I really miss a simple appliacation menu like OS9. Thanks! -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
