T'would be nice if Safari had better tab management - submenus in the Window menu, for example. And the ability to reorder the tabs, by dragging them around.

I usually run with four or five windows, each having half a dozen tabs. Like you, they're "windowed" by topic.

I especially like tabs for searches (Google or site searches). I start with the search result page then Command-Click on each site that looks interesting. Each of those pages gets created as a new tab. I have the tab options set so it doesn't switch to the newly tabbed page. That way I can go through creating new tabbed pages while they are loading. After so many links I start perusing the tabbed pages. I keep interesting pages open and close the others. It's just a much better way to organize searches and the like as opposed to many windows.

Have none of you used Opera ?

This is a discussion we had about 6 years ago when Opera was the only (and first) browser to have tabs.

And you don't have to Command-click to have a page open in the background, just click with your scroll-wheel (if you have any)
and way you go.

We had Internet here on the island about 6 years ago. And for 5 1/2 years now I have used Opera (with tab browsing), IMO the best browser there is.
