I think that just adds to the confusion for a new computer user. I started using PC when it was still DOS based then went to Windows 3.1 and then 95 and stuck with it all the way to ME. So none of that came as a novelty to me. But to somebody who is buying a computer for the first time, people are task oriented. Most people I know expect one thing to DO one thing. Like this app. It sends and receives mail. It doesn't draw pictures, or become a database....it just does what it says. No confusion. Apple keeps it simple and that's what the average end user is looking for and WANTS. Every Mac App does only what it says it does. iPhoto--manages your pictures. iMovie--you make movies. iDVD--you make DVD's. The Finder--you find things! I know I'm preaching to the choir here. Sorry. We're all Mac users here (LOL) (I feel like I'm on AOL in my favorite chat room).

Windoiws has an address bar in every window? How wierd! (I never used it) Why do they do that?

Yes, every Windows Explorer window can be turned into an Internet Explorer window just by changing the "address bar" area from something like "C:\WINDOWS" to "http;//www.apple.com/" -- I guess that's one of the "benefits" of integration, but personally I find web browsing and filesystem browsing to be completely distinct activities, and this integration muddies that distinction. Also, you can browse Windows shares by changing "C:\WINDOWS" to "\ \servername." It works the other way too, turning an Internet Explorer window into a Windows explorer window.
