MS has stated that an
EFI-compatible Vista will be released eventually.
This is incorrect. MS has said that Vista will have native support
for EFI from day one.
Oh for petes sake, Charles. What part of "eventually" don't you
understand? Vista IS NOT A SHIPPING PRODUCT YET. Of course it will
have native support for EFI *WHEN IT FORMALLY SHIPS*. It will have
to since the PC Platform specs include it. The point is that the
support IS NOT THERE NOW. You *KNOW* that. You're just picking nits.
That version will boot on the x86 Macs.
Incorrect. You don't know this to be true. Having EFI support does
not guarantee that Windows Vista will run on an Intel Mac (there is
no such thing as an x86 Mac, because Apple has never released a
computer that runs on x86 chips except to a small pool of
developers).
So now you're off in some part of your brain that doesn't include the
newly renamed Intel "Core" processors as part of the x86 family?
Hello. It's a renamed Pentium M. And they're in the new iMac and
MacBook.
