Intel has ditched the 80686 style processor numbering, as of several years ago. That does not mean that it is not an x86 processor. As to date, INTEL has never made a processor that wasn't x86 based. There are several types of processors on the market: X86 - Intel, AMD, Cyrix, Crusoe, etc. Alpha - DEC PowerPC - Apple The Core Duo is a 65nm version of the Pentium M processor. A simple Google Search for: "core duo" x86 Will reveal NUMEROUS WEBSITES stating that the Core Duo is an x86 processor. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Richard Colbert "Recent Ubuntu Convert" YIM: cmptrgeeknshermantx ICQ: 14466429 MSN: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Web: http://www.venuspcservice.com -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
