Oh for petes sake, Charles. What part of "eventually" don't you
understand? Vista IS NOT A SHIPPING PRODUCT YET. Of course it will
have native support for EFI *WHEN IT FORMALLY SHIPS*.
But that's not what you wrote. Look at your own sentence (above) again.
There's a huge difference between "Vista will have EFI support" and
"an EFI-compatible [version] of Vista will be released eventually,"
which means "after the initial release of Vista."
If you want to accuse me of being nitpicky, go ahead -- but in a text-
based mailing list, clear communication is paramount, and you worded
your statement very poorly so as to give rise to at least two
entirely different interpretations -- yours, and what any other
person reading that would have thought it meant.
So now you're off in some part of your brain that doesn't include the
newly renamed Intel "Core" processors as part of the x86 family?
Hello. It's a renamed Pentium M. And they're in the new iMac and
MacBook.
See above post. You're welcome to join in the challenge: find me
Intel documentation that gives the Intel Core Duo an official number
ending in "86." Alternatively, you can find me a reference on Intel's
site that refers to the Core Duo as an x86 class chip (or words to
that effect).
