I was the one who just read as far as 10.3... and immediately jumped
to the "Panther + downloaded upgrades" conclusion and protested that
I got it on CD, as I've never installed any 10.3.x any other way.
(Well, I later realized I had, but with refurbs bought after Tiger
came out so I immediately wiped the system & put on Tiger.)
