In fact, I just checked my disks. We all know Tiger came on DVD and
had to be traded in for a CD, so Tiger CDs are a rare beast, but my
copy of Panther - all boxed up by Apple & sold by CompUSA - came on
CDs.
I don't even know if Panther came on DVD.

The Panther that came with my iBook is on DVD. IT's a grey non-Retail disk.
