And it looks like, as with iLife, Apple will grab another $79
every single year from you? So it's not that cheap if you want to
get the improvements (and components??) as the features grow.
79 dollar a year sounds cheep to me
Let's see: $99 for .Mac. $129 for the new OS. $79 for iLife. $79 for
iWorks. Almost $400 per year. Cheap, huh? I have the money, well
above average income, but I have MUCH better things to spend it on.
Like the first 3 items on that list, for one! And the aforementioned
Capty. And furniture for the new house. And the retirement fund.
Buying every piece of software - and everything else that looks good
- is one way to live, I guess it's the American way, but it's not the
way I was brought up and it's not the way I live.
And you missed the point that I have software - FREE software - that
does EVERYTHING I want of what iWorks covers. So why SHOULD I pay
that $79, once or annually?
(And you should see the rustbucket I drive. And our new car, though
a Prius, is absolutely base. I don't need good looks or extra
frills. It's a philosophy. Cheap.)
