The HD in my iMac crashed, or had some other major issue, flashing between
the folder with a happy Mac, and a question mark. When I moved the HD to
the G4 tower (I don't think it mounted on the desktop), but the drive
setup utility did see it attached, and I did a reformat of the drive, then
did the OS9 universal install.
Did you do a reformat of your drive?
I did do a reformat of the drive with the universal install. I'm really
confused about why it won't boot.
