It may have between 2 weeks and 4 years left.
I have had many drives that start making funny noises, and then will
'die' suddenly, only to work again a month later.
You should be fine, my 2 iMacs and a few of my older beige beasts all
have a hdd that makes a noise that annoys the bejesus out of my
parents.
they all work like a dream still, nota problem with em yet.
