Yeah, all my G3 iMacs have very loud HD's. I guess because they stuck them right up against the front panel. I had one that I got that had a bad HD, it would make a clicking noise, then it would beep. I was able to fix it by slamming it around a little to unstick whatever was stuck inside. What kind of sound is it making? (Clicking, whining, beeping, etc?)
