We have had a problem with many users of Outlook Express
who experience the premature disconnection problem. It
seems that the default is to 'hang up after checking
mail'. While we haven't seen it anywhere else, it is
possible that the 'hook' for the disconnect call could
somehow be getting tripped by the POP3 session and then
the line is dropped. It's a long shot, but the info may
be helpful.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Weird problem with web messaging
Today's bizarre problem of the day.
I have a dialup customer using our web messaging. He loads IE5, goes to the
site and logs in. He then clicks on MAIN to open his inbox. Approximately 5
seconds later, his mouse pauses momentarily, and his dialup connection shuts
down. The DUN system tray icon gets a small red X over it.
He can browse other sites just fine. He can consistently go into web
messaging and get cut off after opening his main mailbox.
He is the ONLY customer of mine experiencing this. He is in the process of
downloading Netscape to rule out a browser-related issue. Computer is a Dell
Dimension.
Anyone seen this?
