Actually, although not EXACTLY related to my problem (the 50 user limit),
the mail loop problem is DIRECTLY related to the problem that I had.
*IF* iMail had some sort of checking routines in place, it would have saved
me MONTHS of aggravation and frustration. PLUS the 6 weeks or so of
aggravation I had on the list. Not to mention the REALLY unkind words I had
to say about IPswitch and their support in general. Which I *STILL* feel is
well below par.
With many other mail packages, there are automated checks and such in place
to prevent mail loops. Since I am most familiar with Microsoft Exchange
Server, I will use that as an example.
Let's say you have a user as the manager of a list and there is an
undeliverable message in the list. Let's say that user that is the list
manager is an alias for an actual e-mail address in the server. Now, let's
say that user's real e-mail address is in the list as a user of it. Let's
say that real e-mail address gets deleted. Then you have a mail loop. In
Microsoft Exchange Server, if you delete the e-mail box for a user, any
e-mail addresses AND aliases for that user are deleted. Thus avoiding the
loop.

Since this exchange is between you and IMail, you may want to leave it out
of the listserver.

I can understand your frustration, but you also have to realize you did
something you weren't supposed to do with the software. Granted, it's
really silly that IMail can't add about 3 lines of code to alert you to this
problem, but still, they make the limitation quite clear.

You also have to realize that your problem may be different from that of
other users. Very few people here are perfectly willing to delete a users'
E-mail to resolve a problem, unless it is the last resort.
