[IMail Forum] Bounce back to list?

I've had a 'funny' recently where a mail to an external subscriber to a list
I run on Imail has bounced back (message back from subscribers server
reports "looping" "can see my own address in the header" "been here before"
etc..) and got posted to all the other list recipients, even through the
moderator is the only person who can post to the list.

Any ideas what could be causing it (I guess I can put in a rule to stop
anything but local posting, but will this really work if the above 'gets
around' the moderator only posting?)
