Can you show me which KB article talks about this? I wasn't able to find it.

Our IMail server is bound to an internal IP address (10.10.10.10), and it doesn't even
know that the external IP address exists or what it is. The IMail server, when it
sends out packets, says that it is 10.10.10.10. The firewall, mapping 10.10.10.10 to
12.12.12.12 changes the TCP/IP packet to say it is from 12.12.12.12. Packets coming
back in are translated the same way. In fact, if the IMail server claimed to be
12.12.12.12, the firewall would probably drop the packet as being a forged packet.

That's why I would recommend using the inside IP address. Using the outside IP
address, even if it works, will cause problems.
