We currently have our I-mail server set up to relay for certain IP addresses
internal to our company. The problem is that we now have users off-site who
are using cable modems and DSL to use E-mail so we are not able to relay for
them with this setting. In my reading I have determined that we need to
enable SMTP auth for these users. Is this the correct solution?

In this forum there has been a lot of talk about SMTP auth and I don't
remember it being positive. ( Granted this is a support forum). Is this
option inherintly dangerous and unstable?
