Dan
What is the cause ? is it the motherboard
I have only used 2 but the worked fine but with genuine intel server series
motherboards dual processor 370 boards but not with built in SCSI I usually
prefer off board solutions for as many items as possible. But to be fair it
was more the case I meant by good quality fair price. We were trying to
supply servers that looked as good as a dell or compaq but without the price
tag. (well to us anyway the margin was quite healthy to the customer as all
the quotes we were up against were for dell/compaq/ibm machines which the
intel chasis let us beat these easily and still looked as good.
Although looks are important for a server that does the job a clone case
looks cheap when you are selling it to a customer that has seen brand name
servers.
I have never managed to find anyone in the UK that sells reasonably priced
1U/2U clone cases though anyone know of one?
