The good news is that doing a WHOIS at http://www.DNSstuff.com shows that the domain is registered in your name. If this was a gTLD (.com, .net, .org, .edu), it would be (fairly) easy for you to get it back. It shows that the domain was registered on 10-Jan-2001, which means it will be registered through about 10-Jan-2003 (.uk domains are registered in 2-year increments).
