I was having nothing but problems with getting DNS problems resolved
with my ISP and web host. After many phone calls and at one point they
even changed the wrong account, I gave up and started searching for my
own solution. I found www.zoneedit.com and because I was now in control
of my own DNS (without having to set it up on our own computer)
everything works perfectly and the price FREE! Under the advanced
section you can set your own PTR. They also have short help screens.
This is a cheap way to control your DNS entries.

As a bonus they have a backup email server that only costs $11 a year.
So if our email server is down they collect the emails for us until it
is up.

Subject: [IMail Forum] PTR Record Problem

Dear experts,

Our Imail server can't send email to a few large corporates' recipients.
At
last, with the help of Scott, I find the root of the problem, our mail
server's IP don't have a PTR record. That means that you can't use our
mail
server's IP to do a reverse DNS search. Some recipients' mail server
will
reject the mail if they can't do that to verify the sender's identity.
Now,
our new problem is that we can't create a PTR record for our mail
server's
IP. I have try my best to do it. But failed. Our ISP create a PTR record
on
their DNS server. It does work, but ONLY on their DNS server. We don't
know
why our PTR record can't spread to other DNS servers in the world. I
also
try to apply for a new domain name, then create a PTR record for it. I
buy
one at www.domainbank.com at the cost of $35.-. Then we pay $10 for
creating
DNS record on their DNS servers. But, at last they told us they can
create
MX and A record for us, and they can't create a PTR record for us. I am
in
despair. I have no idea about what I should do next.

Maybe somebody know where we can create PTR records. Anybody, who can
give
me some suggestions, would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
Bill Yang
