Thanks for your comments, I also found another solution: I also installed NAI Netshield which checks all files on the harddisk. In the event a webuser wants to attach a file infected with a virus this file gets deleted automatically by Netshield. Only drawback is that the webuser does not receive a warning message, he only is unable to attach the selected message since every time he pushes the button (in the web messasing interface) the file gets deleted instead of attached.
So not as good as declude but it works. I will keep declude in mind though for the future. A classic problem. > Is there a way to tell IMAIL to send all e-mail always via a the remote > gateway, even local mail ? No (your question doesn't even make sense, if you think about it, since there's an explicit mail loop). The only solution is to run an IMail-integrated product: Declude, www.declude.com, and IMail Antivirus both qualify. With some tweaks, it's actually possible to run Declude *only* on Web Messaging messages, so you can keep using WebShield if you have some commitment to it; this isn't the best use of resources, though. -Sandy Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
