Milner ,

People here are just sharing the know-how and experience they have.
You are free to act as you wish .
You are also free to use or not , any add-on application

As you can see i mentioned a freeware for Clay at http://www.chimera.co.nz/
And i am happy to see that his problem is solved.

If you act in a aggressive manner , i dont think that people will help you
more than now.

Remember also that people here are not from IPSWITCH support team , so
sometimes you will find your question not answered.

Regards
Rifat Levis

First let me say, and I do mean this seriously, thank you for suggesting 3
RBLs with your reason why in short order. I asked this several days ago and
was told to join the Declude List and given an url that lists about 100
RBLs, obviously of little use except trial and error.

While not directed at you, let me say that there is generally always
something always better out there. In the last week I've been told to change
all my email clients, change server methods and that essentially IMail won't
handle Spam without Declude. Maybe I should have gotten the Argosoft Free
Mail Server and purchased Declude instead of Imail as Imail is made out to
be lame without Declude in this list. Why Ipswitch allows this, I don't
know.

BUT, this is the IMail List. If I wanted to find out how to do it with
Declude, I would subscribe to Declude List. I, like others, am interested in
finding out the best way of doing things with IMail, not Declude, or some
other method, as these are the tools we have and the circumstances we are
given.

Enough of my soapbox.

There is clearly some way to filter rules from a RBL as shown on page 254 of
the Imail 8 manual with the FIVETEN Database. Yet, as someone noted earlier
in another thread, the processing rules are not well documented and thus the
question.

If anyone does know a syntax with rules that would allow this, please reply.
If not, please don't tell me or others that we have to always buy Declude to
get this or that feature.

Thanks

Here is some tips,

Dont use FIVE-TEN as RBL , have a look to some others like
blackholes.easynet.nl
relays.osirusoft.com etc.
bl.spamcop.net

My personal idea is that ,those 3 servers are more serious than any other
RBL

If you want to whitelist some mail to prevent failing the RBL test , NO WAY
(as i know)

Here is 2nd tip.

If you started doing some fine tunening about spam detection you will find
out soon that you are very restricted
with IMAIL options .

And the response you get from Scott was not a commercial but the right way
of doing what you asked.

Note: You can see in my header ,i am using declude .

Could I get a response on how to do it with IMail in rules as requested and
not a Declude Commercial?

My recommendation would be not to use the FIVETENIGNORE test -- by
definition, it will catch E-mail from large Internet providers such as
Yahoo. That way, you get the best of both worlds -- you won't capture
legitimate E-mail from Yahoo, and you will catch spam from @yahoo.com
addresses.

If you're using Declude JunkMail, you have the option (not recommended,
though, as many spammers use @yahoo.com addresses) of whitelisting all
E-mail to @yahoo.com (if you whitelist it, it will be delivered, no matter
what). A number of our customers will set up a filter to reduce the weight
of E-mail from @yahoo.com addresses, which can help make up for the
FIVETENIGNORE and a few other spam tests that tend to list Yahoo. That,
too, helps ensure that the legitimate mail gets through while blocking the
spam.
