To clarify my question then, We are using 11 servers in imail's dns blacklist, spamcop, osirusoft, etc.
I usually manually query the relays.osirusoft.com servers with the reverse ip of the one in which I want to check. So in the previous example asking it about 207.158.45.51 returns unknown instead of 127.0.0.2 or whatever.
Now looking at the logs, it queried all the enabled blacklisted but did not fail the osirusoft one even though it is listed in serveral lists. Will this process query these servers using the reverse ip 51.45.158.207 or regular?
You don't need to worry about that -- that's not something you need to worry about. All anti-spam programs perform the same lookup. You can go to http://www.declude.com/junkmail/support/ip4rinfo.htm to find the details on how it all works. The problem is most likely a misunderstanding on your end -- you still haven't specified the IP address in question, whether it is really 207.158.45.51 or 51.45.158.207. It *should* be 207.158.45.51 if you looked up the IP properly, but if you did not (most people don't know how to look up IPs in spam databases manually with DNS lookups), that might not be correct. So to summarize, don't worry about whether the correct format is being used -- it is, and discussing it further may just cause more confusion.
Instead, focus on the log file entries. In this case, if the log file indicates that the IP was not listed in OSSRC, then one of several things could be the problem -- there could have been a timeout, the IP may have been listed after you received the E-mail, there could have been network connectivity problems, etc. I'm guessing you are using IMail v8's anti-spam, but unfortunately I do not know how they handle these types of situations (if you are using Declude JunkMail, the timeouts and networking connectivity issues will not cause an E-mail to fail the spam test, as Declude JunkMail errs on the side of allowing legitimate E-mail through).
