While I'm not yet a user of IMail, I hope that the knowledge you have
all amassed will assist one of my customers. They are currently getting
their mail from a provider using IMail for a POP3/SMTP solution.

If an email is sent to a user that does not exist, the following error
is received in Outlook:

No transport provider was available for delivery to this recipient.

The issue really comes to a head when they are sending to multiple users
and one of those users either does not exist or there is a typo in their
address. In that situation, the message is returned with the error
above for all of the recipients and the email goes to no addresses.
Even this wouldn't be such a bad thing but it doesn't give you any
indication which of the addresses are bad! You have to test each
address individually to identify the one with the issue.

The hosting provider has stated that they don't support Outlook but I'm
hoping that someone will have seen this issue and found an answer. I
did find a similar issue with sendmail that seems to be related to the
way that Outlook handles the response from the mail server. Apparently
Microsoft didn't follow the standard to the letter! *!GASP!*

Here's hoping your brains are bigger than mine...
