A cheap 3com 3C905 desktop nic card would probably surfice for most peoples use.. but a server rated 3com 3C980 would work too. I doubt that most people would know the difference.
~Rick Hi, I just want to learn if that Intel Nic will solve the problems. Ips says buy a 3Com but I couldn't find any, so I can't say the model # Also they are expensive. About the hw; Dell PE 1750 Dual Xeon 2.4 HT Enabled 512 Mb DDR Ram 2x36 GB 10K Rpm Scsi Disk (One for windows (c) and spool (g), second is for Imail (d)) Dual Broadcom NetXtreme Gigabit Ethernet (2. inf is for local network, Imail uses this for routing to SMTP gateway on local network) Win update was saying there were no updates. I just upgraded the device drivers from Dell web site. ----- Original Message ----- From: Rudy Pieruccini To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, November 18, 2003 8:58 PM Subject: RE: [IMail Forum] Intel Nic Hi Kubilay, One O.T. Ipswitch told that, some of the Intel Nic's has problems with Imail. http://www.intel.com/network/connectivity/products/pro100s_srvr_adapter.htm We have a heavy Imail Server 8.04 (2500 domains, 15K Pop) and having problem. Ipswitch suggested to use 3COM's Nics. But I couldn't find any in the market. I will search again tomorrow. If you suggest me a Intel/3com Nic with model # that will work on high demand, I will glad.
