The problems of build 107 are so numerous and so severe, there is very
little we non-developers can do. As I mentioned several times in
separate threads, I have downloaded and installed every SXCE (or
equivalent) build since nv20, and this one is exceptionally bad.

Actually, many people have successfully updated to build 107 so I don't
believe the build is as DOA as you seem to indicate.

I have filed bug 6770 re being enable to boot in VB, but I am going to
make an exception and will not file any more bugs. Because it takes
very little effort to do an image-update to build 107 under the IPS, or
install from the ISO image under VB, I appreciate the fact that this
build is made available for us to have a glimpse. But debugging can
only be based on a build of better quality.

Although that is obviously your choise and we understand it takes time
to fill out a quality bug report, we would appreciate if you continue
to file them. It's sometimes the only way the community hears of
certain issues, particularly those involving certain types of hardware
or configurations.

As I understand it, for obvious reasons, build 107 is being skipped in
the SXCE DVD series. Again, I appreciate the fact that it is made
available in IPS, at least we are able to report the booting and some
other related problems (also kudos to VirtualBox). But it is very
DANGEROUS to assume that these are the only problems.

Actually, build 107 of SXCE was made available - perhaps you're
thinking of the announcement that SXCE CDs are no longer being made
available.
