Yes, but together with a damn ugly blur, or in case of of subpixel rendering,
mushroom haze. (I can see the colours on TFTs too with all rgb orderings.)

Once you start using fonts of 3x2 pixels, you have already done something
terribly wrong.

I rather have minor rastering effects than an ugly blur that makes the font
stand out from the screen. "Serif" fonts should never be used on screens for
normal text, they're just not capable of displaying all that detail readably
no matter what ugly blurring effects you apply. On paper, serif OTOH, is
more readable than sans serif.

Yes, it sucks that it doesn't scale to all sizes, but the available sizes
are great.

*yuck* The Vera family is absolutely disgusting. And I don't mean rastering
artefacts, blurring or anything. They're just ugly fonts.
